The property area of the Royal Palace of Stockholm manages the Royal Palace in Stockholm with surrounding buildings as well as Drottningholm Palace with associated palace areas, palace parks, and several other buildings. Most of the premises and parks are used by the Royal Court. Among the tenants are residential tenants, commercial tenants, and public activities such as museums, restaurants, and churches.

We are about 20 employees working at the offices at the Royal Palace of Stockholm and Drottningholm. With us, you are offered a varied role with a great deal of responsibility. Your Role

As a technical operator with electrical responsibility at the Royal Palace of Stockholm, you will be part of the operations group responsible for the safety and functionality of electrical installations. You will perform electrical installations, ongoing supervision, and act as an operational electrical operations manager according to applicable electrical safety regulations. The role involves significant responsibility for planning, leading, and following up on electrical work within the palace's technically complex and culturally valuable environment. You will collaborate with the operations manager, electrical handler, and other technical resources to maintain high operational reliability and follow the National Property Board's electrical safety routines.

The position includes standby duty.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with previous experience in property management with a specific focus on electricity. Furthermore, we seek someone who has:

  • Several years of experience collaborating with electrical contractors in maintenance projects
  • Experience working with backup power systems, solar power installations, and property automation
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge as a boiler operator according to AFS2023:11
  • Previous experience in government or public operations
  • Good knowledge of electrical safety regulations and electrical installation rules according to Swedish standards
  • Knowledge of how to establish and manage documentation, control protocols, and risk assessments
  • Basic IT skills and experience working in digital systems
  • Driving license B

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Experience in managing smaller projects and leading contractors
  • Experience working as a technical operator with standby duty in culturally historical environments and protected objects
  • Basic knowledge of fire protection work in electrical installations

The role involves collaboration both internally and externally, and the ability to understand the situation of customers and colleagues by listening and showing consideration. Furthermore, you need to have the ability for creative solutions, find new solutions to old problems, and a desire to stay updated in the electrical field by, for example, monitoring the environment.

Employment type: The position is a special fixed-term employment (SÄVA) for a maximum of one year.

Location: Stockholm

Start date: Start date by agreement

Before a decision on employment is made, a security review according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may be conducted. If the employment concerns a position in a security class, the security review will also include a background check, and in some cases, Swedish citizenship is required.

The National Property Board operates in industries exposed to various risks of irregularities; therefore, there are positions where suitability assessments are conducted as a preventive measure.
